Our Club made donations of $4300 to each of 4 local Parent Advisory Councils. The funding will help our local school PACs in their efforts to nourish our youngest and most vulnerable children in our school networks. Parent Advisory Councils are front-line committees of parents who regularly observe the learning environment and health and welfare of children. These parents have the best idea of which children require extra support to ensure healthy development in the learning environment. Our partnership with the PACs is based on a strong level of trust as many of our Rotarian community were once members of PACs when their children were in school and understand the importance of their roles in fairly distributing resources to the students.
The 4 PACS were Twin Rivers/Castlegar Primary, Kinnaird Elementary, Robson Elementary, and SHSS.
